I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at DriveTime Automotive Group
Interview
The process was stressful. But the process was not hard. There were just a bunch of interviews and reiterating my resume with each one. So, should have been a panel interview versus back-to-back.

Interview
Spoke to an internal recruiter who indicated he would put me forward to the next step of the process. Nearly a month later, without contact, I received a generic email telling me they weren't moving forward.

Question 1
Did you know DriveTime was made up of three smaller companies?
I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at DriveTime Automotive Group in Jul 2022
Interview
Super long interview process with no clarity. They asked me questions that aren’t relevant to the position that I applied. Ironically, interviewers didn’t know the latest technologies and trends as they appear to be happy with legacy systems and a small team structure. It seems like interviewers get nervous if interviewees are more knowledgeable about technology and enterprise projects. So, they try to ask aggressive questions for no good reason. Couple of interviewers were chatting on phone or slack as I could hear notifications. They were laughing when I was answering some questions. As they don't have much experience , I assumed they don't know anything about enterprise architecture or patterns I explained. They finally decided to offer a role with lower salary after wasting time for one month. If they are not happy with candidate skills, why do they waste time with all rounds of interviews? They could have provided feedback after the initial round. This is a red flag in the interview process. I’m glad I didn’t get an offer to work with so-called smart people who appeared to be aggressive and clueless in the interviews. Highly unprofessional and total waste of time!!!
