I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Deliveroo (Londres, Angleterre) in Nov 2016
Interview
Was called up by a recruiter and told that Deliveroo were interested in seeing me, so I was sent to go in to the office and meet with Simon, the head of design. I had an uncomfortable 30 minute chat with him about a few things process related, and found that I just didn't really like the guy. He felt a bit pretentious, and kind of seemed like he was dismissive of anything that challenged his idea of how things should be done.
The interviewer greets the candidate warmly, diving into a portfolio review to explore design challenges and solutions. A hands-on task follows, requiring innovative problem-solving and wireframe creation. They discuss user research approaches, design principles, and collaboration in teams. Behavioral questions probe adaptability and creativity. The session ends with candidate queries, emphasizing culture fit and vision alignment.
