      Training Specialist Interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Datasite in Apr 2022

      Interview

Do not waste your time on this company! I created a resume, applied online, worked with interviewer to coordinate an interview time and did the interview. During the interview it came up that this was an 'Entry Level' job - really? Where did it say that on the job posting? It did not say that. So I wasted my time working on my resume, applying and interviewing because if it had clearly said that I would not have even applied. The interviewer was rude and defensive basically telling me I should have known by the job title. Huh, I have actually been an HR Manager and the same title can be used at multiple companies, yet mean very different things. In fact, I once had the title of Training Specialist and believe me it was not an entry level job at all, it required a lot of experience and skills. Not only that but I had the job 10 years ago and at the time I was earning 78k, not exactly the pay of an 'entry level' job so this person was full of it. So then I said, "If this is an entry level job, I assume the salary is entry level then?" So then she proceeds to tell me it's paid hourly! OMG. This person is responsible for completely wasting my time because her job description did NOT say 'entry level' nor did it say 'hourly pay' - that's on her. It's also on Datasite as a company for not overseeing the job postings. At no point did the interview profusely apologize to me, like I said she had a very defensive attitude when I made clear I was stopping the interview because I was not at entry level - I mean she had my resume and knew that so what did she think she was doing? If they do such a poor job with the interview process, can only assume they would be terrible to work for.
