      Cariparma Graduate Program Interview

      Dec 6, 2017

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Crédit Agricole (Parme) in Nov 2016

      Interview

I applied to Cariparma Graduate Program in the summer of 2016. After few months I was contacted in order to complete an online assessment, which I passed. In November 2016 I was contacted by a local staff in my home town (Parma IT), who asked my availability for an interview at their office the following day. At the time I was undertaking an internship abroad, I called the person that contacted me and pointed out this issue and asked if we could carry out the interview via Skype. At this point I was simply told NO and to apply to the following year's Program (when I obviously wouldn't have been a "Graduate" anymore). At least 4 months passed between my application and this call, and I find unbelievable that these people assumed that someone that they considered an "interesting profile" would just sit at home unemployed waiting for their call. Not to mention that they didn't even bother to talk to me on the phone, as my internship was supposed to end in a month and I was due to return to Parma. I decided to review my experience now because a friend just went through a similar experience: I understand they're a strong company and that they must shortlist many applications somehow, but come on..this way they're only left with people that didn't find anything better during the 6-month long recruitment process, so probably not the best ones. I thought the man issue of our generation's job market was how to retain talents, so it's funny to find a company that is so happy to leave them out.
