I was first contacted by the head office to schedule an in person interview. I was explained that the position was contractual and asked about my expectations in regards to my compensation. I was very transparent with them in regards to my current salary and my expectations for the role, especially in a contractual context. I first met with the branch manager, who told me about the firm's history, his personnal story but didn't ask me too many questions. The second one was a senior relationship developper, extremely engaging, the most fun I've had in an interview in quite some time. The third one was with the head of operations for the group, and while I have nothing in particular to say against him, he mostly asked me clichés questions ( strenghts, weaknesses etc. ). A few days later, they called me back with an offer of about 35% under my current level of compensation, with no benefits whatsoever. While what they offered in a professionnal context seemed very compelling, I wish I hadn't spent that much time and energy over something that I was obviously going to decline.
