I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Checkout.com (Porto, Oporto) in Sep 2020
Interview
HR reached out to me by email to book a phone call. A few days later I was called and the recruiter stated that it would be a quick 15 min call, to which he followed by talking a bit about the company and asked me to talk about myself. After this, he stated that in a couple a days he would send me an email to schedule for me to talk with the engineering team to get more technical details about the position, and seemingly in a hurry, shut me off while I was still asking questions. We hang up and a couple of minutes later I receive an email from him stating that they decided to move on with other candidates, after "careful consideration". Extremely unprofessional and deceiving.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Checkout.com (Londres, Angleterre)
Interview
Clearly defined process with a first state screening process and technical challenge that gives you enough time to flex your muscles. Not a fan of timed algorithmic tech tests so this was a big plus for me. Followed by a longer interview with several devs and managers and HR to cover all bases. All extremely helpful and gave a great impression of the company.
