I applied at Chanel in London UK by calling directly one of their boutique that gave me the HR phone number (quite easily, was so surprised!). Over the phone, the HR deputy told that they were searching for an area Manager for East Anglia, the charming lady gave me her email address and I sent my CV. I was called 2 days later for an interview one week ahead. For the interview, I was asked to make a presentation about my future role within Chanel in other terms I was asked for a sort of business plan.
Besides, I have to complete online analytical and psychometric tests before the interview.
The day of the interview, the Deputy HR and National Account Manager were quite organised (even too organised, there were no room for any unexpected event). They were reading their questions one after the other, marking (I guess) my answers. The atmosphere was tensed but not unbearable. They were very nice but I didn’t really enjoy the Deputy HR making faces, I found it a little bit rude and even if I wasn’t the correct match she could wait a little bit to make her remarks.
