I submitted my resume through the big-box stores online for Counter Manager / Chanel. My first interview was with the big-box beauty dept manager. Then 2nd interview with Retail Manager Executive employed by Chanel direct. Although i had no beauty experience i had 10+ years in management of a european luxury brand. I knew a great deal about Chanel, as i own sunglasses, handbag and cosmetics for years. It was obvious i found Chanel to be my holy grail lifestyle brand to dedicate my talents. Confidence was key.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Chanel (Melbourne)
Interview
All cosmetic counter manager interviews are usually the same. Phone interview by the pharmacy/department store, followed by meeting with the store, and then a third interview with an Area Manager/Account Executive.

Will ask you about yourself, your past experience, what you like to do in your spare time. Professional education, proficiency in makeup/skincare/facials, how you strategies to meet sales targets, how well you work individually/within a team.
There can be high competition for roles within Chanel as it is a highly sought after brand. It is important to distinguish yourself from the others by being engaging, passionate, and motivated to achieve results.
