I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Caterpillar in Apr 2010
Interview
Cat uses Targeted Selection (behavioral based). I had three panel interview after being screened on the phone and talking with reps at campus career events. Just google Targeted Selection and you'll know all the potential questions.
They take a LONG time to get back to you. I had two offers before I heard from Cat. Not my top choice anyway, but doesn't speak well to their pitch about how 'fast paced' the work is when they can't even make a simple choice about a graduate hire in less than a month??

Question 1
There really wasn't anything unexpected. It's the standard behavioral questions.
The interview process included multiple steps: a recorded video interview and a test. Afterward, the next step was to have a face to face virtual interview with the recruiter regionally.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Caterpillar (Genève)
Interview
The whole experience would be quite nice if the process was smoother. It's very confusing around any deadlines which were not met in terms of responses and feedback. Not enough information - at the final interview with managers there was still no info about the salary.
