It had 3 rounds Written test, GD, Technical Interview. Written test needs strong knowledge on the engineering basics. GST was the topic given in the GD and in the final interview, the questions were based on the field of interest

Interview
I applied through the university campus recruitment drive. The first round was written test with questions of moderate difficulty. The second round was GD which was good with interesting topics, The personal interview had both technical and HR questions. Technical questions were mostly from the subjects of interest and projects. Finally, they did not recruit any mechanical students, they took manufacturing engineering students.

Interview
The interview process depends on the department which has come from caterpillar. In our college(NITK), about 70 students wrote the test which included technical, aptitude and English. 28 students were shortlisted for Group Discussion. About 6 students were further taken for interview round based on resume. Since Large Power Systems department had come for recruitment, candidates were selected if their projects were related to Thermodynamics.
