The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Capital One (McLean, VA) in Jan 2009
Interview
Standard personality assesment as well as a reading comprehension/reasoning test and a numerical reasoning test. The numerical reasoning test was the most challenging. I was advised to "study" prior to taking them (all on line and at my convenience). I recommend looking at thier website as they have several resources to prepare you for the exams.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Capital One in Mar 2009
Interview
After passing the skills test, I was offered an interview. It was a case interview, and consisted of working with the interviewer on a sample case. The case wasn't very hard, and apparently they are more concerned with how you communicate with the interviewer than with the answers you generate.

Question 1
Explain why you used that method to generate an answer.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One in Apr 2008
Interview
Took the math test along with everyone else, which was a snap. On-campus interview was straightforward, involving a case study as discussed by others, but I got tripped up on silly things, and pretty much blew it from the start. As the interview started with that part, the rest was a little awkward as I asked pro forma questions about the company while we both knew the outcome of the interview. I saw him check the "go no further with this candidate" box on my way out. Oops.

The case involved simple credit card profitability concepts. I don't remember details.
