The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Capital One (Richmond, VA) in Mar 2011
Interview
Recruiter made initial contact via email and directed me to online tests. After those tests I was invited to Richmond for the Professional Business Analyst "Power Day". There were 8 of us interviewed that day. The interviews consisted of 2 cases and 2 behavioral interviews. The process was very mechanical with very little company information provided. It was obvious they were not going to invest in the candidates until they had met their criteria. The whole thing was very efficient, but not as personable as I am used to. I stumbled a little on the first case, but did well on the other three interviews. The recruiter called the next day and said that based on the first case I did not have the quantitative abilities for which they were looking. I received that same feeling during the interview so this was not a surprise. I appreciated the fast response. They are looking for very strong quant. people and have enough applicants that they will not take the time for anyone who stumbles. This is a very efficient machine!

Question 1
Assume you are a president of a company who just combined two telephone hardware companies. Model the profitibility of the new company through various scenerios.
I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Capital One (Plano, TX) in Feb 2011
Interview
Applied online, answered assessment test sent via email, had phone interview after a couple of days and scheduled for face-to-face interview in 3 days. When I came in for an interview I checked in with the front desk and waited for about 5-10 mins for the interviewer. Interview was consist of Behavioral Interview with the Manager and skills test with the HR. The behavioral interview went just fine, everything was based on the event that happened in my previous jobs, they were testing to see how you deal with the particular situation. You don't only have to answer in one or two sentences, because there's always a follow up question in each and every detail of your answers. The whole process took an hour. Everything went well however there's a little bit of toughness in the behavioral interview. You just have to be yourself and answer with confidence. Don't let the tough questions stress you. The manager was great and I definitely felt comfortable on my interview. Don't forget to ASK QUESTIONS...

Question 1
Tell me a time where you have to ask help from a co worker, what was the reason and how did your co worker respond?
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Richmond, VA) in Mar 2011
Interview
The first interview was conducted on-campus. It consisted only of a case question with a senior analyst. It was my first case interview and I felt like I did poorly, but the interviewer was impressed enough to advance me to the next round. This consisted of a personality survey conducted online along with a math and verbal test, mostly involving how quickly and well you can read graphs and comprehend information.
After this, I was flown out to the Richmond office for a day consisting of 2 cases and 1 behavioral. The night before, there was a casual reception with recent hires, which was very informative. Interviews were with senior analysts and the entire experience was very professional.
