I applied online. I interviewed at Capital One (McLean, VA)
Interview
Behavioral and Powerday with 3 case studies regarding business improvement and analysis. Basic understanding of general profit and loss analysis with a case focusing on product as well. In general the behavioral interview was alright and was more or less a short blurb about you and your journey but the Powerday requires studying and preparation.

Question 1
A case study regarding how to improve sales of insurance within a specific region.
Application, Behavioral, then online case, didn’t make super day. Process was pretty quick.
Case was difficult and in a google sheet the size of an iPhone, so much different than working in excel.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Capital One (Chicago, IL) in Jul 2025
Interview
The interview process was very rigidly structured.
1.) Phone screening with recruiter. The recruiter seemed to hate her job. She was so robotic and didn't show any emotions.
2.) Mini Case - The girl who did the mini case was young but very sweet.
3.) Power Day - 3 Case Interviews
1.) Case Interview - Profitability of New Credit Card
2.) Product Interview - Talk about the online platform of your choosing and its business model (Interview kept rocking back and forth as he was having a bathroom emergency, which I found to be very distracting.) He was also getting annoyed if I took the time to think through his questions. I just found this interviewer to be extremely rude.
3.) Case Interview - What strategies should be considered when launching a new credit card?
There was two week gap between the mini-case and the power day. During that time HR provides Q&A sessions on every Monday to go over what to expect on the Power Day. The speaker or HR in charge of those zoom calls wasn't necessarily nice, he was very dismissive. He would get visibly irritated if someone asks "stupid question". But the ladies at least try to answer any questions.
