I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CNN in Feb 2019
Interview
After sending my application, they sent me a link to a digital interview website. I then answered those questions. It was a bit strange because you could not go back and change your answers after submitting them through the computer. You had to answer around 5 questions and there was a specific time limit for each question.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at CNN (New York, NY) in Feb 2019
Interview
An automated interview, then a phone interview with a producer in NY, then an interview with another producer in ATL. It wasn't a difficult process! I would recommend applying, it was engaging to be a part of. Not getting this position was a bummer.

Question 1
Why are you interested in this position? Describe your experience and your background (standard resume review). Tell us about the content we put out that you enjoyed? What ideas do you have?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at CNN (Atlanta, GA) in Jan 2020
Interview
Got an email directly from hiring manager to schedule phone interview. Somehow bypassed the Hirevue process that most CNN jobs force you to go through, which gets filtered out by bots (making it hard to get to the next stage). Phone screen lasted about 10-15 mins discussing general job duties. Got a second email a few days later to meet with other team members. It was a very informal, conversation interview. Got a call back the same day.
