CNN Intern interview questions

The interview process was two-steps: one was a HireVue interview and another was a phone interview. The HireVue interview was pretty standard, it asked why I was applying for the position and other general questions. I actually interviewed for seven different internship positions and received an offer for one. I did phone/video interviews for all the positions, and almost all of them asked me to explain why I was passionate about news/CNN, why I applied to the position, to explain my experience, and to pitch story ideas.
