I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Burger King (Brooklyn, NY) in Jan 2014
Interview
Some of the franchises hire headhunters to find candidates most suited to their needs. I applied online and was contacted by a headhunter. Let's just say that I definitely dodged a bullet by deciding not to further the interview process with this company. The pay that they tried to negotiate was laughable compared to other companies in the area with similar positions. The headhunter in particular was rude and shady, and when I did get to speak with the District Manager he/she wasn't very helpful.
Simple and quick. They are looking for mature individuals who are dependable and do not call in. Show leadership skills to a certain extent and ability to work with the team as a whole.
Pretty easy, making sure it's clear that managerial experience in the food industry.
Don't be afraid to voice concerns. Control the interview and make sure your demands are met. It's fast food so don't be a pushover
Spoke briefly with the district manager who covered about 5 or 6 stores in the arra and once he had approved, he sent me on to Sonia the general manager of the S Shields location for a more specific set of questions.
