Round 1: Initial 30 min zoo. call with recruiter
Round 2: 1 hour hackerrank session over zoom
Round 3 and 4: 1 hour hackerrank session followed by system design session
Round 5: In person interview
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (Londres, Angleterre) in Oct 2025
Interview
I gave this Bloomberg interview for a Senior Software Engineer role. I chose Bloomberg over FAANG as I expected it would give importance to C++/low-latency programming skills and my past experience. But to my surprise, I was asked just one unpopular LeetCode question (pun intended) and a system design question at a junior DevOps level. Rejected straight away. It just weighs whether I memorized a LeetCode problem and can bluff through a regular system design. I had to withdraw myself, as I will never be one — because I’m not one.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
LeetCode medium and basic system design — nothing beyond the usual Bloomberg-filtered LeetCode.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Bloomberg (Dublin, Dublin) in Oct 2025
Interview
Reached by the recruiter,
Usual Big Tech process
First a Phone Screen with a LeetCode problem
After an onsite:
They did first Algorithms and System Design. They evaluated and decided not to move further. I like that you do not spend time in other interviews at the onsite that will not be useful if you fail the technical part.
The intervierwers where all nice, I enjoyed the questions. I just did not have a good performance, hopefully i can prepare better for the future

Question 1
Algorithms and D&S with medium LeetCode
System design question open-ended as usual.
