I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at BD in Sep 2015
Interview
My phone interview was with the manger of the R&D department and engineer. Both of them asked me questions about my past experiences and industry experiences for the most part. The job requires the use a few software and they really wanted to make sure that I was proficient in the use of them. They look for something very specific, therefore make sure you have them and are able to talk about those qualifications.

Interview
I applied online and was interviewed by a recruiter over phone after which I had a phone interview with a hiring manager. The hiring manager was nice and very friendly over the phone. After a month, I attended the personal interview with the whole team. I was interviewed by 5 people. The first interviewer was very nice and friendly. One particular interviewer was unprofessional and rude. Did not maintain eye to eye contact with me instead was more keen on taking notes by looking down. Another interviewer was looking at the phone, seemed disinterested, was also more keen on taking notes, did not allow me to ask questions and ran away.
In the end, as expected I did not get the job offer. glad that I didnt get the job as i figured out that i will not be a right fit. Im very glad that I will not be working for this team!

Interview
Had three phone screenings then an on-site interview. On-site they put me in a small conference room where I stayed while visited by six different interviewers. Lasted most of the day. They provided lunch. One interviewer was by phone because he was out of the country. The first interviewer was the Director, then two middle managers, a project lead, a senior engineer, and finally an HR person. Questions were ranging from technical and behavioral to strategical and career planning. I researched all interviewers and asked pointed questions, but in most cases I did not have time to ask all the questions that I had prepared. There were several positions open, so I wasn't sure which one I was being interviewed for. It seemed that the hiring managers were trying to get a sense of what my career goals were. BD has a complex career progression structure, and it seems that employees move around within departments every few years. It took me some time to understand the career pathways as they described them. They kept asking where I thought I might fit in. I have a broad range of experience and a doctorate, so it was difficult to pigeon hole myself into one of their career tracks. I thought the interview went well, but I suppose they couldn't figure out how to fit me into their structure or I was lacking in very specific skills.
