I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Avanade (Melbourne) in Oct 2021
Interview
I applied through a recruiter. First interview was easy, getting to know the company and about myself and my previous experiences.
The second interview was with one of the senior consultants/team lead where the discussion was about different methodologies and architectures like agile, waterfall, microservices etc. Some situational questions were also thrown into the mix.
Then there is a live tech test where you're given a program with incomplete functions that you have to implement then a similar SQL test. The tests aren't that difficult and you can google during the test as well.
Passed both interviews and received a call from avanade HR saying they are happy with my performance and would like to proceed with my candidacy. Next day I received a call saying they will not be proceeding further based on salary expectations and have already filled the position with someone else.
Complete and utter waste of time when they knew the salary expectations from day 1.
Probably best to ensure they are ok with salary expectations during the first interview.

Tell me something you don't like in your current system that you work on and how you'd go about fixing it.
Had a behavioural interview and then a practical one. It was a smooth process even though they did not let me know the result afterwards. They were friendly and easy going.

Fujam desta empresa!
