I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Apr 2014
Interview
A 45 minute phone screen call followed by an on-site interview in Seattle for about 6-hours.
The 6-hours was made up of 5 different interviewers, each asking about different aspects of the engineering process.
I got the interview on the Friday, and was made an offer on the following Monday. I started work there 30 days later.

Question 1
I don't remember much about the interview itself. I was in 5 different interview sessions, and was asked various questions - some solving tree traversal problems, others about scaling issues implementing something like Facebook. Another had me write a game of Asteroids on the whiteboard.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Séoul) in Dec 2016
Interview
Very organized interview process. One technical assessment online then phone screening and then onsite interview. The first two steps are easy but the onsite interview was not that easy. You must prepare yourself to perform great with situational questions and algorithm questions on the whiteboard. Situational questions were a little tricky they want to hear what they want to hear.
