I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Amazon in Mar 2012
Interview
I got a call from the recruiter who got my profile from a job site. She scheduled my 1:1 interview in 3 days so I didn't get much time to prepare. As the requirement was very urgent and I was a local candidate, I didn't have any telephonic or online interview. On the 1st day I had 3 rounds of technical interview. Each of them interviewed me on a different set of skill sets. 1st interviewer asked questions on problem solving and programming. Once I completed them, I was asked to write test cases for it. 2nd round was mainly related to automation and scripting. But the interviewer also asked programs and questions automation scenarios. I was also asked about the role I had in my previous company. These rounds lasted 1 - 1.5 hour.3rd round was with my hiring manager. It was a bit more difficult. He asked many behavioural questions, 1 relatively difficult puzzle and questions on problem solving. Then I had the final round with the bar raisers. It was the most difficult one. After this I was mailed the feedback within 3 days and got the offer after a week. It went too smooth and very swiftly.
