Set of 5-6 interviews with PMs and a lead engineer. Some interviews focused on behavioral questions, some about my background, and others about Amazon's business and how I would develop a particular product.

Question 1
Where do you see opportunity for the business? Tell me about a time...
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Amazon in Apr 2021
Interview
First "recruiting" call was with GM, followed by a screening interview. Was then scheduled for more interviews and asked to complete written assignment. Then the usual five interviews on one day (remote due to COVID) focused on behavioral questions with various Amazonians, both inside and outside the hiring team.
Interviews were fun, but pretty much one-way, so don't expect to get much or any time to ask them any questions. "Bar Raiser" person was not very engaged and seemed to be just going through the motions. Was not offered role.
Recruiter stated several times that they'd be with me throughout the process and that they usually reach their decision within five working days of last interviews. Maybe that's just for offers, as weeks later I never even got a rejection email. Maybe it's just due to them hiring so many people, but it is still pretty unprofessional compared to a lot of other companies.
Overall impression was not entirely negative, but I did feel like a piece of meat on an conveyor belt at times.

Question 1
Tell us about a time you had to transition a project to someone else.
The interview was intense and exhausting, but the people were great. You need to prepare for the interview and review the top Amazon skills. It helps if you can relax during the process.
