I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at AlphaSights (New York, NY) in Nov 2012
Interview
Applied through school for a position in the New York office.
The interview was pretty laid back: 1 session with 2 people, where they walk you through their methodology for solving a research problem. It was a quasi case study, but basically they ask you what you would research in order to answer a case study question. just make sure you think about all the aspects of a given market/technology when they ask you.
The other half of the interview is a conversation with another guy who asks you about your research and your goals.

Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. why I want to move my job
2. what's my long-term goal
Interview process was ok, several stages and language test as it was a particular language speaking role, only downside really was very little feedback given at the end when not successful. When I asked for a feedback call as to why I wasn’t successful they didn’t answer my question and it was a 2 mins call saying that I was just unsuccessful.
