First round phone interview lasts about 20 minutes and only consists behavioral questions about your background and questions such as why AlphaSights, so there is not much to prepare. The whole process is pretty quick.
The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AlphaSights (Hong Kong) in Feb 2022
Interview
There is 3 level of interview process.
1. Interview with Team Lead/ Associate of the role you chose: I applied for a language based position so first interview they will check if you speak the language properly. In the interview you will have to research for an Expert based on a situation (could be on LinkedIn or anyother sites) and you have to explain why you chose that person. Then there will be a ‘call’ simulation in the language of choosing (if the role you applied is in Japanese, then the call simulation with be in Japanese).
2. Interview with Manager: This interview checks about your personality and way of thinking
3. Final round, with Director: There is a lot of “what if… then what will you do” questions, and they want to check why you applied to Alphasights and how much you know about the role etc
To be honest, compared to my other Job interview, the interviewers were not as welcoming and was quite cold and distant which ultimately made me reject the position.
