I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AXA (New York, NY) in Aug 2013
Interview
They try to weed you out as quickly as possible. They tell you it's commission base only and the days are long with you being on the phone cold-calling most of the time. If that stuff doesn't scare you then they will "invest" in you, promising sponsorship with obtaining your series 7 and 66. Read other reviews posted on this site about this company because current and past financial advisors will be able to say more from being there longer. Also, this job is ideal for people who has a lot of friends with money to invest. Recent college grads with loans to pay, stay clear. If you do the math, you'll make more money working minimum wage in your first 18 months than being a financial advisor.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AXA

Face to face interview. More exploratory on both ends than anything else. I received information about the process and what to expect. Also, there was discussion about the needed certifications needed for the position.

Why do you want to work for AXA? Why are you qualified?
I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at AXA (Bala Cynwyd, PA) in Feb 2013
Interview
I interned at AXA for 8 months, working directly with a senior advisor. So needless to say, I didn't have your run of the mill interview as they already knew me pretty well.
First I met with a district manager, the one who's district I would be entering. I took a personality test and then had a pretty informal Q&A session with him. He asked me questions like "Why do you want to enter this industry?" and "What skills do you think you have that make you a good candidate?"
After that meeting, I went to see the regional guy. He is the guy that ran the entire office. You sit in with him and basically answer the same series of questions. After that meeting I was told the Job was mine. After a few months of considering it, I turned it down.
