I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI (Walton-on-the-Naze, England) in Sep 2024
Interview
Application process begins with a typical online situational assessment, which is fairly monotonous. You then progresses to a video Interview with a number of questions for you to answer. Around 2 weeks later, I was informed I was successful following the video interview and was then invited to a normal in-store interview. In-store interview was brief, around 15 minutes long and was fairly casual. Informed the next day I was not successful with my application, with no feedback given. Overall a laborious process. Wouldn't recommend if you have no prior retail experience, or hold a degree, as I believe this is why I was ultimately rejected.
Group interview where you had to role-play scenarios about working in the store. Hard to actually get a word in and it was online which made it even more difficult.
Had a group online interview and I felt it was very hard to get any point across and it felt very over the top and the process seemed too long for what the job actually was
Started as a group where we were educated on the history and benefits about working at ALDI, and were asked what we think working at ALDI is like. Seemed like a good company with fair pay. The individual interview itself only asked availability.
