Anyone knows what the E bands at HCLTech represent?
I have been working as a Tier 1 Help Desk technician for the past 10 months at a company where I have worked for a total of 5 years. I’m wondering where I could pivot, as I believe my wage is very low considering my tenure. I currently make $18 an hour, and I recently earned an HDI certification. I also have to work every Saturday with no rotating shifts. I’m wondering how I can bring up the possibility of a raise, or if I should start looking for opportunities at different companies instead.
I have been contemplating this question this weekend. Has anyone been in a similar situation or have thoughts? If you have a job you love and you are a little under paid, would you take a new job for a 30% raise or stay where you are content and happy?
I'm an AE at Microsoft and have 'climbed the ladder' from a junior entry level vendor role. I'm learning a tonne in my current role and feel there's a ceiling to my career progression. I'm a victim of not hopping around tech companies to benefit from salary bumps. As a result, my salary and level are lower than what they should be. I have a potential opp to join Google as an AE in a different role, potentially more junior but would massively boost my sales accumen, Should i make the jump?
More companies announcing layoffs. If you were a CEO with a heart, what would you offer as severance? I think most of the severance offered is too low.
I just got offered $110k USD to relocate to Amsterdam, and the local expat tax breaks make the math look incredibly tempting. It’s a significant drop from my current US salary, but the company keeps pushing the quality of life, European healthcare, and 30 days of vacation narrative. I’m trying to balance the financial hit of losing US-tier compensation against the lifestyle upgrade of a walkable city and real worker protections. Has anyone made the US-to-Europe jump recently? How are you feeling about it?
It is how they break down their pay and jobs. I do not remember what the pay is per band. It is similar to the US Government but more restrictive on if you can move to the different bands in your job.
Pay and Job ranges essentially.
