What's your favorite subject line to use when cold emailing CDs your book?
Serious question. Are there any agencies left that aren’t drinking the AI-Generated performance marketing Kool Aid? You know, like ones doing actual concepts? Seems like there are a few left. Mischief, Opinionated, Rethink, maybe Goodby. Who else am I missing?
When the recruiter wants to have “a quick call” after the interview and doesn’t send a meeting invite? Thassa rejection.
Any intel on Le Pub Milan? Thinking about moving to Italy
Third time GALE gets in touch offering something. The same recruiter. They ended up ghosting me last two without a single real interview apart from the recruiter call. This time they don't even know we've spoke before. For a company with such a low level creative output, they really aren't helping their chances.
Make sure they like you and your dynamic. If they’re talking to you, they already like your work. Your personalities and shared ambition are the final piece of the puzzle.
I would do research on the agency and the work they're doing. I would also do research on the CCO and see what work they've done, so you can bring that up as work you admire (even if you don't) and the style of work you want to be doing. Be yourselves and show that you have chemistry and get excited about the role and what you can bring to it. Ask what they're looking for in a team and what would make you successful. Good luck!
If I’m talking to you it means you’ve probably already passed the technical stuff/experience/work check. What I’m looking for is the vibe check, chemistry, personality, personal drive, passion for the work, communication skills.
