Pros

Walmart has a Fair pay compared to other the retail competition Excellent Benefits @ a low rate Plenty of room to move around the company till you find the job that fits you. 10% discount on General merchandise iteams & fresh produce 20% off glasses and contacts You are getting paid to make serve others.

Cons

Walmart is a large company that is constantly changing, allowing the "whisper down the line effect" to cause some confusion. Meaning some programs lose there meaning by the time they get down to the end user or things are added so the program becomes to complex to properly conduct. As a Walmart employee you are constantly seen as a target for a union recruiter to annoy. The unions are dying and are trying to grasp a hold of whatever they can no matter what it takes. Which means they are not afraid to get up in your face and try to trick you into giving them permission to hold a vote.

Pros

You can have fun if you have the right management staff and be productive. You can meet alot of interesting people

Cons

They want the job to come first not your family like it use to be. They need to sell better quality products. Not things that start to fall apart after just a couple of washes.

Pros

There is a lot of opportunity for advancement, meaning that there is a lot of different jobs within the company, something for everyone.

Cons

Management team is very disorganized at all levels of the company. In addition, the associates that have worked for Wal-Mart for 10+ years seem to be able to get away with doing less that the newer associates. I don't know whether that is common throughout the company. In addition, gays and lesbians in our store are not treated fairly and have been forced to leave most often leaving the company to work elsewhere.
