Pros

Decent pay and bonus plan. Some very excellent long term managers, however, they are now being "let go" too. Yet another "brilliant" move by Univar.

Cons

Unfortunately they recruit managers that are completely out of touch what a "manager" should be and keep the ones that fit that "out of touch" mold as well. Instead of team leaders, they bring in old school tyrants that have zero skills on how to manage a department. Very bizarre decisions made on processes that make no sense and cause extra administrative burden, and do not include all team members input. More of a dictator type managment. High turnover. Either by being weeded out, or you have to leave because of total frustration.

Management is unorganized and employees are unhappy

Pros

Decent wages, good benefits, lenient towards days off

Cons

They cater to the employees who are constantly late, call in to work on a more than regular basis, and employees who complain they have "so much work they can't keep up" yet these employees are the one who are the slackers. However, managements "open door policy" is a bunch of junk as well. If you don't get results for a problem, go to the next person: Well I did this after my manager told me to "smoke some weed" to relieve a problem I was having and then was repremanded and treated like crap and was scrutinized for the remainder of time I wasemployeed there. Then, I was medical leave, came back and that morning was "laid off". Needless to say, I was always asking for things to do and never complained I was "too busy", called in about 2 times in the past year, ate lunch many times at my desk, but was the one "laid off".
