Cons

Newfound appreciation for how meager minimum wage is Wage increases based solely on amount of time with the company, not performance Always smelled like bread

Pros

- good colleagues and usually good in-store management - quite a lot of independence and allowance for staff to take leading roles in opening, closing etc

Cons

- treatment from store owners was not great - employer sometimes ignored aspects like penalty rates, overtime; made it clear that staff were easily replaceable

Pros

Time goes by quickly because you're busy most of the time. Most people are somewhat respectful... and... free sandwiches I guess.

Cons

Just about everything. Incompetent managers, micromanaging, overreacting for stupid things. I guess it varies from location to location but my ex-job was terrible. All of the BS made us counterproductive.
