OK College job if you find decent management

Pros

As it is franchised, every Subway is different. I was there for two years and I couldn't wait to get a new job. If I could change the management and location, working at Subway would have been a fun job in college. I enjoyed making sandwiches and helping customers. We also had Fred DeLuca come in one day and that was very cool. Plus, if your boss allows you free food it's awesome- I never grew tired of the food.

Cons

Pay can vary, you will stink like bread at the end of your shift. Although it's a popular job across the world, I was extremely embarassed to tell people where I worked. Also franchise can be a good thing, I think corporate should have more say in management of staff rather than just the appearance of the location.

Pros

The work environment has been upbeat, energetic and fun. The company offered many opportunities to grow and learn new skill sets. Salaries have been comparable to the industry standards as well as a decent bonus structure.

Cons

The unknown from the takeover by the parent company that SFAFT is currently going through.

Free sandwiches after shifts Friendly employees Developing a relationship with regular customers Cleaner than other fast food restaurants Not very stressful

Cons

Can get very busy while only two people are working You're on your feet the whole time If working during rush hour, management expects you to prepare food, clean, and serve customers simultaneously Minimun wage Dead- end job
