Pros

When you are staffed enough it isn't overly stressful and sometimes have a laugh. Free 6" sub if your shift is over 6 hours.

Cons

Almost always under staffed. Always bare minimum wage (absolute legal minimum based on age) Senior management bosses (worked in my store) rather rude/offhand comments. Basically paid me pennies on my first wage because of pay schedules then said tough (didn't tell me in advance) Expected to fill in shifts when people left/got moved

Pros

No high expectations, as in not results driven, if you are a slacker and yes-person you can wing it for life

Cons

Management revolving door - there is a new person every week with a new slogan on reviving sagging sales, becomes the mantra until another one walks in. Every year new slogan with no strategy on achieving objectives Lifers / sclerotic bureaucracy A soft structure with no accountability Cost-cutting and franchisees drive management Always chasing after Panera and McDonald’s (the enemy). No hard values just slogans - made up before each annual convention
