Low pay and the CEO is extremely difficult to work with. It was not a enjoyable work experience. Nothing but drama and politics. Lots of promises made but none of them were kept.

Great people, especially if you start with a class of people right out of your degree.

Cons

Training was essentially irrelevant to actual job opportunities, creating a bigger gap between those had been summer interns vs. not. Depending on your team, the partners border on verbally abusive. The acquisition by PwC has ruined a lot of perk that made up for the bad work/life balance (which is a sham, don't let them fool you during interviews).

Pros

Good salary. You can say you worked as a strategy consultant on your resume. That's it.

Cons

Toxic environment, especially in the Consumer, Industrial Products & Services, and Automotive (CIPS) practice. All the negative stereotypes of consulting are true while only a select few are. Attrition from the old Booz guard has left the firm with neither the old talent nor the old brand! Some partners are downright abusive. There is absolutely no flexibility about what projects you can choose. Changing offices or practices is near impossible.
