Pros
I honestly cannot think of any within my department, many people have the same sentiment.
Cons
There is no career growth/projection, feedback, training, communication whatsoever. It sounds like an exaggeration but I’m afraid not. Aside from zero annual raises and feedback on how to improve from your supervisor, leadership does not communicate with each other, nobody knows who is assigned to what account, and we are overworked to the point where we are glad when we lose an account. Morale is low among everyone, the culture is broken, everyone looks out for themselves and senior brokers consistently try to not get involved with renewals to do the jobs they were hired to do. It’s remarkable a lot of these people have not lost their jobs. The systems we use break on a daily basis and we have no centralized database where we can access client information, everything is siloed. The structure for invoicing/billing is counterintuitive to productivity and we all have a sense the C-Suite has no idea of the real problems within the internal systems of the company. You can be a collections agent/billing agent/CPA/administrative assistant/broker/client executive all at once. There is a reason it is complete chaos in our department and things fall through the cracks.
