Pros

Looks decent on your resume due to rapid growth.. but at the end of the day.. it's still a discount grocery store.

Cons

Where do I begin? Company is completely upside down. Men (and only men) get promoted based on how serious they are and if they drink the company kool-aid. Company preaches "values" until they are blue in the face, primarily because they completely disregard them when it comes down to it. Respect? Yeah, if that means working 90 hours a week with no comprehension of life outside of work. Responsibility? Sure, with no oversight or feedback. Don't do things the way they expect, even though you haven't been told what that is? You're fired with no warning. Rewards? Ummm... they don't exist. We had casual Friday once a quarter and even that was taken away due to "less productivity" on this day. Trust? HAHA. That's the funniest one of all. Trust that you will be in the office with no option of working remote, 8am-6pm standard hours at a MINIMUM, and treated like you eat, sleep and breath this company with no respect. Run away, fast. It's just not worth it.

Pros

They are party animals - key word animals - if that's your kinda thing. Otherwise, if you're sane, it'll have you running the opposition direction

Cons

Hands down the WORST place I've Ever worked. You have white male executives ONLY who sit around during meetings and chastise others. They have NO Sr. Experience in their discipline that they oversee. They break every rule they set for the company employees e.g. smoking in company car. It's a dog-eat-dog mentality. If you are a young male 6 feet tall with blonde hair and blue eyes, you MaY have a shot. Or if you're a women with same line up and short skirts and fake breasts, you might be okay. The Arian race at its finest. If you're female and minority, don't bother. People are having affairs in management and no one is doing anything about it. Employees are being bullied by line managers, vp etc. and no one is doing anything about it for fear of retaliation and losing their job or being "forced" to resign. Very Long hours, no formal recognition, and titles that are useless. A manager is doing a job of sr. Manager and sr. Manager job of director and director job of vp and so on. They do that so they can pay less. All the reviews that say pay is good is because they're 25 yrs old and getting 80k!!! But worked to death or until they have a nervous breakdown and then they become useless and discarded. PLEASE Don't come here. I'm resigning soon.

Pros

If you have no experience, this job pays well.

Cons

1. Be friends with your bosses boss outside of work and you'll be promoted. 2. If you're harassed or abused by your manager and you complain to HR, HR will tell them you complained about them. 3. Only the worst people get promoted - 29 year old, unexperienced and aggressive. 4. Poor decision making is often rewarded. 5. Extremely high turnover. 6. I don't understand the good pay comments -- Lidl does not pay well at all, except if you don't have any experience. 7. I don't know anyone who is happy working for Lidl, when you speak with them candidly. 8. Lidl expects you to berate your external partners who work extremely hard for you. 9. If you treat people the way Lidl wants you to treat them, your career is done. 10. I love how they post fake reviews on Glassdoor.
