Good ideas, bad implementation
Pros
People are generally nice, so it's a pleasant environment. The salary is not bad. Company takes on some really interesting projects.
Cons
The exec team are not experienced leaders and it shows. They don't know how to lead. The organisation is top heavy with very senior people doing very menial work. There is no bonus scheme, no performance management process, no way of rewarding good performance or managing poor performance. It seems to be accepted that some people work really hard while others do nothing. The company claims to be really visionary but it doesn't actually get behind anything. It is held back by its own traditional thinking, and the CEO does not let teams get on and deliver. The five day return to the office makes no sense. Office location is really inconvenient and the facilities don't make up for it. It's missing basic things like tea points on each floor, quiet work areas, docking stations for laptops, no space for collaboration etc.
