Pros

Good work from home opportunities.

Cons

Glassdoor reviews can be misleading as employees are often encouraged to leave reviews during Month 1 Onboarding, which is a highly empowering experience. However, the culture and values promoted during onboarding are not practiced in day-to-day work. Managers can be dishonest and emotionally manipulative, prioritizing their own success over the well-being of the customer, the representative, or the business as a whole. Employees are pressured to work even if they are unwell or dealing with personal issues. It's Russian roulette whether you receive a competent and skilled manager. If you don't, say goodbye to your success in this company. Teams compete over the same pool of potential opportunity, which puts Managers at odds with one-another, leading to a culture of self-interest and a lack of collaboration. The company has struggled to adapt to its substantial growth, with targets and KPIs increasing regardless of the economic downturn. Many managers who were promoted based on their performance in easier times are unable to adapt to a more challenging selling environment and reject fresh ideas and different opinions. Upper management has not taken significant steps to support employees on the ground or address complaints.

Pros

- Very good benefits such as Unlimited PTO, flexible working option: WFH, hybrid, office. - Generous technology equipment provided - Great product as a streamlined solution - Strong software brand

Cons

The Sales organization has turned toxic and is also a matter of luck and territory distribution. The person of color experience has not been very a positive one. A team member and I are notably persons of color and have not been treated as valuable persons. Also, highly misleading with effectiveness of the marketing team and "inbound marketing" - the sales team is hunting and doing almost purely outbound sales which is a miserable experience! Some people also abuse the unlimited PTO and there is a really stingy budget for team get togethers. Seeing the other reviews, HubSpot has built a culture of churn and burn through their own reps, where reps will stay 1-2 years at below market pay for AEs and then go somewhere else with a 30-50k pay bump for less work!

Pros

Unlimited PTO. Other than that, nothing. Benefits are standard for a tech company.

Cons

Pay is much lower than industry standard. Support Managers make 110-120k, while Support Specialist make 45k which is a disgusting pay gap given how absolutely nothing Mangers do other than crack whips. Zero sense of leadership and just have a "do better" mentality if you are struggling. Stress throughout the Support department is rampant due to intense metrics and workload. May reps need to work second jobs and can't afford healthcare, and management/higher ups couldn't care and less which is beyond ironic for a company that "cares" about your psychological wellbeing. This is a place for sycophants and people who can drink the Kool-Aid just to get to a 6-figure position to do not a whole lot. Mobility is hyperbolized. Most reps work a year and realize how BS this place is and move to a place that pays 20-30k more a years for less work.
