Pros

- Great opportunity to learn: this is the most international bank operating in Malta. - HSBC opens up the possibility of applying for intern vacancies across the globe. - Great benefits, especially for mothers, etc. The company's emphasis on well-being is strong.

Cons

- Trainees struggle to get the placements they have been promised in the job advert. - The pay is low compared not just to trainee placements in other countries (which would be open internationally), but also to other local bank salaries. - No systematic development planning/guidance from management around the trainee programme.
