Inclusive culture and very supportive of personal learning and development. Excellent communication from the regional leadership team.

Pros

The work is varied and interesting, and with pre-eminent clients. Experienced experts have so much knowledge and share it, you can really work collaboratively if you need to and feel supported. HKA is making big changes in its attitudes and provisions towards its people, in particular the ED&I initiatives feel genuine and supported by management. Appreciation of work/life balance, management very open and understanding and flexible. The office is lovely (albeit still very empty post-covid)!

Cons

As with all work like this there are some real peaks and troughs and workload can get hard to manage (but support is good). There is a strong focus on ££ sometimes but that's not unexpected, and there's been a positive shift towards rewarding all aspects of performance. Slight disconnect between the various areas of the business especially as it diversifies but that may be due to covid meaning people aren't all in one place and meeting to collaborate.

You have hit the nail on the head re our continuous improvement approach to our people...thank you...we still have more to do, yet thanks to everyone we are getting there. Equality, diversity and inclusion are now part of our DNA and we are keeping our focus here to continue to improve. Like you, I love our new London office and relish spending time in person with our colleagues. Health and wellbeing is our number one priority...so everyone is being very careful about coming into the office...yet over time the numbers attending will grow, I hope as I would love to spend time with more colleagues in person. Pros

HKA has progressed considerably over the few years, particularly by really listening to employees and taking on board their feedback provided in the surveys. The company is much more collaborative and provides great development opportunities for all. There have been impressive inroads in respect of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and this remains a high priority across the company globally, which is great to see. Their response to Covid and the way they managed this was excellent. They put the health and wellbeing of their staff at the forefront throughout the Pandemic and continue to do so.

Cons

Sometimes have to work long hours to manage workload.

In a global business that cares about its clients and people - that sometimes does happen to try to hit the standards, deadlines, etc. The important point is occasional long hours are fine, yet regular is not.
