Pros

For the first 12 years of my employment I thought I would retire from Expleo (formally Assystem) and had the passion to build our division and offer my teams and those associated, a career path to grow and succeed. I had support from senior leadership and the drive to keep growing the business.

Cons

Where do I start, starting well before Covid, the Senior Leadership of the UK business deteriorated so dramatically, most people lost their desire and passion for the company. Customers and Staff didn't matter anymore, it was just bottom line profit so bonuses could be paid at the top. Zero support for staff, over worked support functions all in the name of bottom line profit to enable a company sale.

Pros

- Provides opportunities to work at a range of different companies in a number of different sectors. - Has good networking potential to meet people, which can help with future job opportunities.

Cons

Some things to know before accepting a job at Expleo: - The company often employs people speculatively for work that might not necessarily exist, or for projects that haven't been fully confirmed. - If you are not assigned to project, you are obliged to attend a weekly 'bench' meeting where you have to justify how you have spent your time. - Whilst on the bench, you are asked to do all sorts of odd jobs, such as writing bid proposals and opportunities; often for areas outside your skillset. - Any remaining time can be spent watching unlimited training videos via Udemy. - The company will try to find you work, but again this won't necessarily match what you were employed for. - Potential projects are also likely to involve being based away from home at a client's site during the week for extended peiods of time, regardless of what you were told during the interview. - If no work has been found for you after three months then your probation period will be extended for a further three months, regardless of your performance. - Employees are considered expendable: they are regularly dismissed if they are not generating income for an extended period of time.

Pros

Great family feel to work with, you had training courses you can attend. You get your own laptop & phone.

Cons

You seriously have to negotiate a good salary when you start, if not then you probably will find you will struggle to increase it. They have QA Leads that are paid thousands more than their time served QA Managers. Now that it is Expleo you are just a number, pit falls of becoming such a large company. They made some very good resources redundant in 2019 after the merger/take over and SQS became Expleo, cross training was not an option
