Benefits package leaves much to be desired. In recent years the health and vision plan have been going downhill. Wish they brought back stock options too. Career advancement seems to be restricted to the good 'ole boys network in some but not all areas. In the last few years company seems to be getting more penny-wise and pound-foolish. Move in Nov 2008 to tighter quarters involving all cubicles will result in the annhilation of one of the greatest Microsoft legacies of this spinoff - worker offices.

Lack of focus. In my area (very technical) management was ineffective and overbearing. We had a great team but program management was ineffective and over self indulgent. Sad as there was a lot of good things we could have done but lack of technical experience and no vision or focus resulted in much dissatisfaction.
