Pros

There are some great people who work there. Smart people who are trying hard.

Cons

Shifting and unrealistic priorities are setting up people to fail. There aren't enough people to keep up with the ambitions of leadership, and employees and customers are getting ignored. This trend has grown more intense over the past year after the new investor, CVC, came in. Organizational structure doesn't make sense. It's primarily a very siloed organization, with some groups trying to work across silos, even though leaders of those silos don't work together. It leads to constant misalignment of priorities and frustration between groups. Raises haven't kept up with inflation over the past couple years, and compensation isn't great to start with. Complete lack of flexibility in the return to office policy has led to untenable scenarios for many employees. For a software company, it feels like a very conservative company. No DEI initiatives - one was started up at some point in the past but quickly shut down. Most new hires are in India or Mexico, but within the United States, there is very little diversity. They were proud of being one of the very first companies to hold a conference after Covid in spring of 2021. That is partially reflective of the customer base and may be a positive for some people.

Pros

Great job for anyone looking to start their career in tech. Good work life balance and office accommodations.

Cons

Management is unappreciative of their employees and their contributions to their teams. Sr. Level engineers can be very condescending and often belittle other team members. Training is lacking and employees are often left without proper resources and support to fulfill their job responsibilities. Little room for advancement.

Pros

Endless problems to solve. Lots of good and intelligent humans at Epicor. Very committed to company values and promoting from within. People stay here longer than average in the industry.

Cons

Lots of different acquisitions makes for a hard challenger with alignment. And hyper growth also has its pains.

Thank you for your 5-star review! We're genuinely proud to hear that our internal mobility opportunities are a highlight for you. Epicor has acquired companies to complement our portfolio of software and service offerings to our customers and to further expand upon our offerings. Integrating multiple companies under one roof is genuinely hard for any company, and we know that it can slows things down for the people during their day-to-day initially. We're committed to ensuring change is clearly communicated and our team feels connected to the direction we're heading.
