Pros

the gratis is nice. as a coordinator/non-exempt employee, ideally we would get overtime when worked overtime. though not the case, that's one of the pros.

Cons

non-exempt employees are treated as lesser people. there is absolutely no room for growth. upper management never fails to take credit for a coordinator's work.

Cons

- unstable hours / unstable income - part-time employee classification has a wide weekly hourly gap (e.g., 15-29 weekly hours) and the availability expectation is that of a full-time (e.g., required to be open 4-5 a week, open to close) - minimal career growth if wanting to become full-time within the same store
