Pros

- Decent pay and good benefits - work truck with gas card -good experience

Cons

- management is disconnected from field employees - review process does not reflect employee performance since managers do not go out in field in order to properly assess job performance - poor communication which leads to chaotic project implementation - no standardization of necessary info for each customer site. You walk in completely blind each time you visit a customer you’ve never been to - safety is important, but corporate pushes redundant messaging so frequently i believe it has the opposite of the intended effect - forced to wear long sleeves FR shirts in hot weather even when you are not exposed to fire hazards any more than a standard office employee

Pros

The company has good benefits, HR department is good, it's a clean place to work, and has heat in the winter and AC in the summer.

Cons

I'm not disgruntled, these are just the hard realities about working there. They talk about a promote within company environment, but in reality they don't actually do this. The training (or lack of) and overall work structure leaves a lot to be desired (which leads to a lot of frustration). Administration and management are the smartest people in the building (just ask them). They don't seek out or take advice from the actual experts on the floor doing the work that could lead to more efficiency, cost cutting, and higher production. The last con is the amount of mandatory OT they require. They preach about a work/life balance and spending more time with your family, but then DEMAND you work endless OT. Most of the staff are overworked, burned out, and under appreciated, while the management has weekends off with their families. Management's problems are continually put on the shoulders of the employees.
