Pros

Client Exposure - Interesting projects to work on. Work Ethic - Lots of good people trying to do a great job Benefits - Accenture is your benefactor, at times. Career - for people starting out ...this is a good place to get a couple years experience.

Cons

Avanade is a company created by two huge companies and are indentured to each. It is a company incapable of coherent independent thought. It is merely a vehicle to serve a profit goal. That's ok, but it has created a level of dysfunction that is hard to measure on a scale, if you could, it would be off that scale. I worked in the IT group and managed multiple projects a year, the work was usually driven by Accenture which is a toss up, especially when they expect you to be on location 4 days a week for months. The marketing organization couldn't manage a bake sale much less a message that drove anybody to understand who Avanade actually is ...most clients have never heard of them. That makes things hard on projects. After almost 20 years in the market, that's quite an achievement in being invisible. If you are a decade or two into your career, stay away, this is not a good place to add to your resume. That was my mistake. And don't be fooled by the short-on-content positive ratings, interns probably do them by the dozen.

Pros

A really nice office with perks and company culture that come from Accenture.

Cons

There is a prioritization with getting certifications and doing a lot of tasks outside of full time client work, just to get promoted. If you are in the bench and it’s a slow season, there is a high risk of getting laid off. You will lose your sense of purpose all for the trendy AI culture. The company thrives on buzz terms and marketing solutions rather than actually solving anything.
