Pros

Great starting salary for individuals starting their first career. Since you work a lot of hours you become great friends with your coworkers. It is a great teamwork environment. If teamwork is not your style then this job is not for you. You get to go outside and enjoy the nice weather; you're not pinned at a desk for 8 hours.

Cons

Very long hours. Since this is a salaried position you are not compensated for the large amount of overtime you will be putting in. If you don't make a sale then those hours are wasted. DriveTime expects you to not want to leave work. Tax season is the hardest time of year; don't expect to have a social life during those months. Horrible breaks. Even if you put in 10-12 hours you only get a 30 minute break; sometimes you don't even get that! A lot of the employees get cranky because we're all starving!

Pros

It was a great experience learning sales, phone tactics, and general work relationships. Every day was different and generally everyone I worked with was an enjoying experience.

Cons

Customers are very demanding and have no clue about financing and are extremely unreliable. Always changing managers and a heavy dose of office politics.

Pros

My managers and co-workers are amazing. They were nothing but welcoming to me and understanding when I got a better job offer. My training wasn't rushed and I felt very comfortable doing my job.

Cons

I never saw where I could really move up unless I moved to where their headquarters is. If I hadn't gotten a better offer I would have probably stayed but I think I would have grown to not like the job as much. Talking to people who worked with me, the place could make you hate people and let's face it the cars are pretty low quality.
