Pros

- Early exposure to field sales, even if you don't have previous field sales experience. - The sales culture is performance based. - Career opportunities, a lot of people are promoted internally vs. external candidates coming in above. - Benefits continue to improve, leadership act on benefit improvement feedback. - The opportunity to represent the best Product/Service/Company in the market.

Cons

Not a con. but being realistic, this is not a 9-5 sales role, you need to be prepared to work hard, work early/late when required.

Pros

There are none. Not one person on the Enablement Team has Sales experience. Maybe a year or so at most and none of them have been a top seller.

Cons

My experience with the sales enablement team has been overwhelmingly disappointing, primarily due to a lack of leadership skills. Here are the main issues: Inconsistent Direction: Leadership within the sales enablement team is scattered at best. There’s no clear vision or direction, which leads to confusion among sales reps about priorities and objectives. Poor Communication: The lack of effective communication from management creates an environment where critical information is often overlooked. This results in missed opportunities and an inability to adapt to market changes swiftly. Failure to Empower: Instead of fostering a supportive environment, leaders often micromanage or provide minimal guidance, leaving team members feeling undervalued and unsupported in their roles. Inadequate Training and Resources: The leadership’s failure to invest in comprehensive training and resources leaves the sales team ill-prepared. New initiatives are launched without adequate support, leading to frustration and inefficiency. Lack of Feedback Mechanisms: There is little to no effort to solicit or act on feedback from the sales team. This creates a disconnect and prevents necessary adjustments to strategies or tools that could improve our performance. In conclusion, without effective leadership, the sales enablement function is not meeting the needs of the sales team. I wouldn’t recommend this organization unless significant changes are made to enhance leadership and support.
