Pros

Monday to Friday 9 to 5.

Cons

Inexperienced management. No support @ director level. Homophobia. Anybody is offered employment for the customer service team even if your lazy, flighty or altogether incompotent. No one in the company takes responsibility for their job description/duties. Evenerything is thrown onto the poor customer service team to take on with no additional pay to reflect this. There's never any contigincey plans put in place for the summer period i.e. as soon as a bit of sun hits Ireland there's always a drought to which the exteremly low paid micro managed customer service staff have to bear the brunt of with not soo much as a thank your or reward.

Pros

It is a simple job. No experience required

Cons

Management is no where to be found in terms of what a manager is supposed to represent. It is weak, with no employee protection against harassment. 4 people quit since I was there for 8 months, and I was fired without just grounds, because someone there “didn't like me” because of their own insecurities. They tried to fire me without severance pay, which I pursued and received in the end. It is a poor representation of what Culligan as a whole represents. That’s the problem with a small business franchise… there is no consistency. If you’re smart, you will continue to look else where for a position that you can grow in. There is no room for growth here, it is very dead end. They do not pay well, and despite advertisement, there is no pension. There is not adequate training for positions, either. Poorly, poorly run business practice without a single ethic to find in sight.

Pros

No pros, just run away

Cons

Controller is controlling. Micro-manages, practices nepotism (Her sister) and has inappropriate conversations. President of company is unprofessional and has stopped coming in to office.....there is speculation that something happened so he works remotely. I was hired to work as an accountant and I was warned that the controller had run off several good employees.....should have listened to the warning instead of participating in bullying someone out the door.
