Pros

Hard to call it a pro, if you don't want any accountability as a senior leader this is the place for you!

Cons

- Glacial to execute (and often misses the boat due to this) - When execution happens, it's not done well and is solely top down by incompetent management - No pshycological safety or intellectual curiosity - this leads to the teams running the same plays that maybe worked 5-10 years ago (purely relationship focused), and not to mention, you musn't question any decision - people just want to "do work" no attachment to an actual problem/value to be solved or strategic direction. - Many leading IC's have departed due to this culture and it's endemic, new hires often shocked by ways of working and the 'look good don't do good' culture. - Quota attainment is shocking, core product is sold to laggards and won't exist in 5 years. Any smart customer or prospect outgrows the solution rapidly yet the teams lack of understanding of the wider ecosystem means they'll sell the farm just to keep them for another year - No focus on growth, tenure is rewarded. Lot of smart ICs trapped by truly truly awful management (not even in a malicious way mostly, just an apathetic shrug and low performing mindset) - Its run like the public sector, not like a high growth SaaS company, probably why its not high growth (Shocking YoY numbers, artificially inflated by 2 acquisitions) - It's the epitome of a hyped covid darling child VC business - all shirt, no trousers - and brother the tides starting to go out!! -

Thank you for your candid and detailed feedback. It’s clear that your experience has left you feeling deeply frustrated, and we don’t take that lightly. We acknowledge that some of the challenges you’ve raised around execution, strategic direction, and culture have been pain points during our transformation. While it is hard to hear this characterization, we absolutely recognize the need for stronger accountability, better cross-functional alignment, and a deeper connection between strategy and day-to-day work. We’ve made changes over the past year to shift how decisions are made, developed channels to bring more voices into the conversation, and to support a culture where impact and curiosity are rewarded. We know progress takes time, and clearly, we haven’t done enough yet to change your experience. Thank you again for speaking up. Feedback like this forces reflection. If you have any additional feedback, we recommend contacting your PBP directly.

Going downhill

Pros

Most of my coworkers are lovely and approachable if I need some help. The product itself is genuinely good so I think that's a plus. There’s an emphasis on work-life balance, which I really appreciate.

Cons

Leadership has been disappointing, they rarely own up to their mistakes and tend to sweep issues under the rug when things go wrong. The handling of the Heap and Hotjar mergers was particularly messy, and sadly, we’ve lost nearly all the great talent and expertise from those teams through layoffs and resignations. Sales teams are having a really tough time closing deals, and hardly any of the AEs are hitting their targets.

Thank you for sharing your thoughtful feedback. We're glad to hear that you've experienced strong collaboration with your colleagues, see value in our product, and appreciate the emphasis on work-life balance. We also recognize your concerns around leadership accountability and the challenges that followed the Heap and Hotjar mergers last year. Major transitions like these can be complex and we know that the execution hasn’t always met expectations. We're focused on improving transparency and stability moving forward. We also acknowledge the pressures facing our sales teams and are actively working across the business to better support them, from refining our go-to-market strategy to reinforcing alignment between product, marketing, and sales. Thank you again for your honesty.
